Description: The 501st Legion is the premier Star Wars costuming organization. With over 4000 active members world wide, "Vader's Fist" has been showing the softer side of the Empire since 1997. From their charity work with organizations such as Make a Wish and Juvenile Diabeties Research Foundation to appearances at local birthday parties, the Ohio Garrison chapter of the 501st Legion is always there. They may be showing off their costuming and prop building skills or just making a child smile, but wherever they go, they demonstrate strength, honor, and goodwill in the Ohio communities and throughout the Empire.
The Legion is a volunteer club formed for the express purpose of bringing together costume enthusiasts and giving them a collective identity within which to operate. The Legion's aims are to celebrate the Star Wars movies through the wearing of costumes, to promote the quality and improvement of costumes and props, and most importantly to contribute to the local community through charity and volunteer work.
